Mistakes are Made

Hey… A child is always going to make mistakes.
Because… Well…
It’s a child.

Now. An adult.
An adult too is always going to make mistakes.
Because we are human.

Mistakes are not made to tell us we are wrong.
Mistakes are the only way…
to live life fully.

Shame and guilt need not be ostracised.
They are the stormy intensities we can learn to surf;|
It’s exhilarating. I have tried…

I think I almost died;
But I didn’t.

So, yes. Mistakes can and will be made.
Shame and guilt will be felt.
But nothing needs to be wrong.

Or right.

A mistake is always in the past.
You are always in the present.
The mistake is not you.

Instead of making life about doing the next right thing,
Learn to take the next step with love and forgiveness.

Not easy, you say.

Well… To begin with,
it can be a hug…
Or a smile,
Or your own hand on your heart.

A soft whisper of
It’s OK
Or just a long sigh out –

– a reminder to myself and all soft & strong human beings

To receive regular inspirations, and all things life-and-human, to deepen your own growth and practice.
